By default Thunderbird does not use date from Received: header. It uses
Date: header. If you want to compare Thunderbird with Outlook Express,
check message send from computer with invalid clock settings.

SquirrelMail has 'internal_date_sort' setting. It is set in Display
Preferences. "Sort by Received Date" - Yes/No
