I haven't noticed this issue myself. That said, I'd like to mention at this point that Squirrelmail doesn't use PHP's mail() function. This is going to be tricky to diagnose, if hotmail is accepting the SMTP transaction and then discarding it silently. One could suggest that the problem isn't so much SquirrelMail as it is Hotmail.
