> do you think this version is ok though? I don't know which server you are using and how broken it is. Apple changed IMAP servers several times. Current MacOS X version includes Cyrus IMAP and it should work correctly. Other servers used in MacOS X are good only for smaller mailboxes and might break on complex SquirrelMail IMAP operations. > i only have a few people that want > to check their emails remotely. Also if you can help, i played with the > folder settings and not i have the followin showing up. > INBOX.Deleted Messages > INBOX.Drafts > INBOX.Sent Messages > Sent items > > How do i go back to the default? > > INBOX > Deleted Messages (purge) > Drafts > Sent Messages Folder names are controlled with four settings in 'Folder Defaults' menu section. 1. Default Folder Prefix 3. Trash Folder 4. Sent Folder 5. Drafts Folder Correct options depend on your IMAP server's namespace. On simple IMAP servers you can set it to 1. Default Folder Prefix : 3. Trash Folder : Deleted Items 4. Sent Folder : Sent Items 5. Drafts Folder : Drafts If such setup fails with "can't create folders" errors, you have personal namespace under INBOX and first option should be set to INBOX. or INBOX/ or you have some really wierd setup. On Cyrus it depends on your setup. If you don't use public and shared folders, settings can be set to 1. Default Folder Prefix : INBOX. 3. Trash Folder : Deleted Items 4. Sent Folder : Sent Items 5. Drafts Folder : Drafts If you use public or shared folders, use standard SquirrelMail Cyrus preset. After you set things correctly, you will have to delete dublicate folders created in other SquirrelMail configuration. Please note that SquirrelMail uses shorter names for special folders by default and your folder names are compatible only with some mail programs. -- Tomas ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
