Re: 1.5.1 stable and safe enough for production?

I activated server-side sort and threading and it made a huge difference! Still, since 1.5.x is being used on production servers without noticeable problems, we are now considering it very seriously. We'll probably run both for a while and tag 1.5.x as beta web 2.0 style :P

Thanks to everybody that answered.

Hi,

At our organization, we find the 1.5.1 dev version to be much faster
than any other 1.4.x stable (at least on our mailserver running qmail
with courier-imap daemon). Would you guys consider the dev version to
be stable (and safe) enough to be run on production servers?

We are using 1.5.x on a production server with no problems. We were
using 1.5.1 for some time and recently upgraded to a recent
SVN tar package to pick up the security updates. Current SVN is
even faster than 1.5.1. The only drawback with current SVN is that
many (most) themes are unavailable or broken.
