Would you guys consider the dev version to> be stable (and safe) enough to be run on production servers? We run Squirrelmail 1.5.1 on Debian Linux 4.0 (Etch) using Cyrus Imap 2.2, Postfix 2.3, Apache 2.2, and PHP 5.2. Runs very smoothly. Authentication is via saslauthd against our LDAP directory. We currently have 443 accounts on the server, using 14 GB of disk space, some users with over 1 GB of messages stored (average quota is 250 MB), and upwards of 15,000 messages per folder. With server-side sort and threading enabled, there's no problems with the web interface. We allow certain users to access their account via standalone IMAP clients, but the bulk of them use Squirrelmail.
