Replace the error template files installed with your Squid with empty files. Then wait for the phone to ring as your users start complaining about blank pages appearing for no reason while they are browsing.



i dont want users to know that they are being cached by squid either ???


Why is this a problem for you? HTTP is designed to work with proxies optimizing the protocol content delivery, just like DNS is designed to use recursive-resolver caches, and email with SMTP forwarding delivery to mailbox servers.
