Thanks - LK Originally, I was using the distributed RPM from RH, and the problem was horrendous. One day I saw 45 restarts of squid. Yesterday just before I sent this message, I downloaded source from squid-cache.org, compiled and installed. The problem has been lessened significantly since then, maybe 2 or 3 of those "auto-restarts" that squid does. I don't know the details of why squid does that, but I assume it is intended and benifical. Can someone explain that?
