Are you sure this is the way Spice is suppose to react to having
one of its corners pulled? Over on

It states that
"This includes the qxl video driver and the SPICE
guest agent (for copy and paste, automatic resolution
switching"
And it indeed does automatically switch resolutions from
boot up (small screen) to full desktop.
Also, in case it matters, this is my run line for Spice:
spicec --host 127.0.0.1 --port 5904 --title "KVM-FC21-x64"
