I can reproduce this. One of the cpus triggers the NMI watchdog when the qla2xxx driver loads the firmware. Did you ever provide the failed bootup log? It might let me to fix this bug more quickly. :-/ This only happens if I build the qla2xxx driver and it's firmware into the kernel image. If I build qla2xxx modular and let the initrd provide the firmware, it works perfectly fine.
