About Encryption, I have a very different
opinion.
Under non-network environment, I think that the encryption is
not a necessary part of operating system! If os can provide perfect access
control mechanism, confidential data will be protected from
compromise.
Of course, you must avoid your hard disk being stolen!

Hello Everybody!
I am new on the list and I did not want to be inpolite for
this reason I just wanted to say hello or hola. My
question is about the Linux kernel. It is specifically about the Encryption
features of the Linux kernel. I know we have got modules, which allow the
kernel encrypts root file system and more but why should we encrypt the
system? Does it make the system more secure?
I have found the Encryption HOWTO on http://www.tldp.org but I wanted to know the
opinion and thoughts of other people.
