Title: Encrypted kernel
Well, In my view, anything that makes a crackers job harder is well worth it. Basically it becomes; "is it worth my time?" Its more like deterrence from my perspective.

Subject: Encrypted kernel

Hello Everybody!

I am new on the list and I did not want to be inpolite for this reason I just wanted to say hello or hola.
My question is about the Linux kernel. It is specifically about the Encryption features of the Linux kernel. I know we have got modules, which allow the kernel encrypts root file system and more but why should we encrypt the system? Does it make the system more secure?

I have found the Encryption HOWTO on http://www.tldp.org but I wanted to know the opinion and thoughts of other people.

Thank you very much,
