defining functions in gimprc

Hi,
I am interested in using the Script-fu console as a sort of command
line interface for gimp. I realise that the console is still very
primitive compared to other Lisp systems. My question is, is there a
way to define functions in my gimprc so that they will be accessible
from the console? A simple (define... does not seem to work so I
assume that if it is possible, I must register my function somewhere.

Thanks!
-John
