Let me try to put it simply...
The scripts that i wrote and other people write as well,
depend on the Gimp functions, so, if you want to
have something like a preview image,
Gimp needs to change first, to provide this library function,
called "preview"..
that is why i suggest if more people like you, write a
bugzilla report, and saying why this preview image on a
script-fu is useful, then this report will be sent to the
Gimp developers, who will then (hopefully) provide such
a function !!
Another way to explain to you... If you want the car (script-fu)
to go faster, then the only way is to change the engine (gimp)
FIRST.. say the engine change from 4-cylinder to 6-cylinder (gimp) then
the car (script-fu) can go faster now..
