At least telnet and ftp is working fine for me, so I am not sure
what is wrong here.
All sources are part of the "fisher" beta-release for our next Red Hat Linux
release.  ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/beta/fisher/SRPMS/SRPMS/xinetd*
(or at least similar).

More recent versions can be taken from
ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/rawhide/SRPMS/SRPMS/xinetd*
