Hi Everybody. I use RPM version 4.3.3 on Redhat 4, and get an error while trying to install a package that requires java. rpm -iv RPMS/i386/nds_vgs+-3.0.3-1_es4.0.i386.rpm error: Failed dependencies: libjvm.so is needed by nds_vgs+-3.0.3-1_es4.0.i386 libjvm.so(SUNWprivate_1.1) is needed by nds_vgs+-3.0.3-1_es4.0.i386 I have installed jdk-1.5.0_06-fcs package, and JAVA_HOME seems to be set properly: /usr/java/jdk1.5.0_06/ The package doesn't seem to "provide" the required libraries: [root@vgvs_7 rpm]# rpm -q --provides jdk-1.5.0_06-fcs jre = 1.5.0_06 j2sdk = 1.5.0_06 j2re = 1.5.0_06 jaxp_parser_impl xml-commons-apis jdk = 2000:1.5.0_06-fcs I do not want to use --nodeps. Any ideas? Thanks. Oshaer. ________________________________ This e-mail is confidential, the property of NDS Ltd and intended for the addressee only.
