RE: /var 100% used error

Filling up /var wasn't done on purpose - it happened on a telecom server running in the field due to another problem. 
The --ignore size was used because our preinstall script was clearing the installation partition which doesn't have enough room until our preinstall script finishes.
 
Ok, we're still on 4.4.2.  I'll see if we can upgrade to 4.4.8 or later.
