Umm, I don't think there's a way to control it. But I have plenty of binary only RPM's, and it's not at all confusing that I can't get the source for them (nor is it confusing that a source RPM *exists*, I am simply not entitled to a copy). For example (note the license, vendor, etc fields): $ rpm -qi VRTSvxvm-common Name : VRTSvxvm-common Relocations: (not relocatable) Version : 4.1.00.10 Vendor: VERITAS Software Corporation Inc. Release : GA_RHEL4 Build Date: Mon 11 Jul 2005 04:00:00 PM EDT Install Date: Sun 13 Aug 2006 05:18:33 PM EDT Build Host: vmlx11.veritas.com Group : System/Data Storage Source RPM: VRTSvxvm-common-4.1.00.10-GA_RHEL4.src.rpm Size : 34836721 License: Copyright (c) 1990-2005 VERITAS Software Corporation.
