Before I submit an RFE on this I thought I would bounce it off this mailing list ... Mike Harris has a setup for building rpms as nonroot -- ftp://people.redhat.com/mharris/hacks/rpmbuild-nonroot-1.0.tar.gz Now to me (and I believe many others), the preferred way of building rpms is NOT as root but as a regular user which is exactly what Mike's setup does. Now my idea for an RFE is to have this capability added (perhaps to the rpm-build package) as either something in doc (or, with more work, as a script which, when run, creates the appropriate directories for a user plus ~/.rpmrc and ~/.rpmmacros). Comments please. -- Gene Czarcinski _______________________________________________ Rpm-list mailing list Rpm-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rpm-list
