I attempted to build an exim rpm recently and received the
following build error in the final stages. Although I was able to
configure, build and install rpm into the temporary build root area, the rpm
temporary script is trying to reference /usr/lib/rpm/brp-strip-static-archive
which does not exist anywhere on the disk. Has anyone encountered anything like
this before? /root/rpmbuild/tmp/rpm-tmp.49199: line 30: /usr/lib/rpm/brp-strip-static-archive : No such file or directory error: Bad exit status from
