Jos:

Thanks for the tip.  One other question.  The error message I am getting is :

" Package compat-glibc-6.2-2.1.3.2 is missing "

My previous command on this AS2.1 box that led to this error was :

#rpm -Uvh glibc-common-2.2.4-32.8.rpm glibc-2.2.4-32.i686.rpm

Do I need to just run a :

#rpm -Uvh compat-glibc-6.2-2.1.3.2.i386.rpm

or should it be something else that might include the other packages?

Thanks,
Dave

I am looking for compat-glibc-6.2-2.1.3.2. I am not sure if it is
available as i686 or not, and if not , compat-glibc-6.2-2.1.3.2.i386
would be great. I cannot find it on the redhat.com site. Thank you.

It is still on the RH site (there is no i686 version):

ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/7.3/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/compat-glibc-6.2-2.1.3.2.i386.rpm

Have fun,
