Is it legal to have two packages with the same common name but a different revision: foo-1.1 /opt/foo11 foo-1.2 /opt/foo12 foo-1.3 /opt/foo13 Or, if I want multiple versions of the package installed, must the name be: foo11-1.1 /opt/foo11 foo12-1.2 /opt/foo12 foo13-1.3 /opt/foo13 I know that if I rpm -U, installing foo-1.2 will replace foo-1.1. If I rpm -U foo11 and foo12, then both the foo11 and foo12 packages will be in the RPM database. This is against RPM 4.0.x. -- albert chin (china@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) _______________________________________________ Rpm-list mailing list Rpm-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rpm-list
