That's no more unfortunate than any of the other options ("--force
--nodeps", anyone?) that can be abused/misused and result in various
forms of catastrophe.

I'm a firm believer in Darwinism, and I have no problem whatsoever
supplying users with tools of sufficient power to demonstrate their
level of intelligence, regardless of how high or low it might be.
