Hi, I am trying to cross-compile RPM 4.2 to run on mips machine. I have the cross-compilers installed . The ./configure fails with the following errors: checking for rand in -lrand... no checking for getdomainname... no checking for getdomainname in -lnsl... no checking for socket... no checking for socket in -lsocket... no ./configure: line 1: sed y%*+%pp%;s%[^_abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789]%_%g: command not found ./configure: line 1: ${+set}: bad substitution checking thread.h usability... no checking thread.h presence... no checking for thread.h... ./configure: line 1: ${+set}: bad substitution ./configure: line 1: =no: command not found ./configure: line 1: ${}: bad substitution ./configure: line 1: ${}: bad substitution ./configure: line 1: ${}: bad substitution ./configure: line 12516: test: =: unary operator expected ./configure: line 1: sed y%*+%pp%;s%[^_abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789]%_%g: command not found ./configure: line 1: ${+set}: bad substitution checking pthread.h usability... yes checking pthread.h presence... no configure: WARNING: pthread.h: accepted by the compiler, rejected by the preprocessor! configure: WARNING: pthread.h: proceeding with the preprocessor's result configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------------ ## configure: WARNING: ## Report this to bug-autoconf@xxxxxxxx ## configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------------ ## checking for pthread.h... ./configure: line 1: ${+set}: bad substitution ./configure: line 1: =no: command not found ./configure: line 1: ${}: bad substitution ./configure: line 1: ${}: bad substitution ./configure: line 1: ${}: bad substitution ./configure: line 12516: test: =: unary operator expected ./configure: line 1: sed y%*+%pp%;s%[^_abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789]%_%g: command not found The autoconf guys tell me that this is a problem with the script that generates the configure script and hence must be taken up with the packager. Can someone please advice me as to how to cross compile RPM? Thanks and best regards, Ram Prakash.
