Are you sure it's coming from your speakers or is it coming from the speaker in the case? If the latter, that may be an alarm that your CPU fan speed is slow. Go into the BIOS and check the monitors/alarms. If CPU fan is running less than (IIRC) 4000 RPM, that's the problem. You can either replace it, or if you are handy, you can take it apart and service it. Remove the sticker over the bearing seal on the stationary part of the fan, and remove the (probably) rubber bearing seal. Then either give it a short shot of Teflon lube or a drop of light machine oil. Then reassemble, install, and fire it up. Check the BIOS monitors to see a better fan speed. But maybe I'm wrong. I, too, have an Asus K7M and have been down this road a few times.
