[Sound] C-Media

Hello Sound-list,

  After  installing  on  my  system  RH  8.0,  I  am  having  problems
  configuring  my sound card. Upon opening Gnome, the system tells me:
  "Couldn't  open  mixer  device  /dev/sound/mixer."  I've checked the
  file, and it was not there at all.

  When   I   run  Soundcard  detection,  it  says:  "Vendor:  C-Media
  Electronics, Model: CM8738, Module: cmpci."

  Also,  when I shut down the computer, the "aumix" process shows this
  message: "error opening mixer."

  Could anybody help me fixing this? Thank you in advance.
