Re: [Sound] No sound with kernel 2.4.18-17.8.0

I've done as directed with no luck. The package builds new modules all
prefixed with snd including snd-maestro3.o
Unfortunately, no sound yet. I played a little bit renaming stuff, no
luck. I had not installed the alsa drivers with my previous kernel, and
the sound still works there. In fact I rolled back my system to kernel
2.4.18-14

The overwhelming support I received from RedHat combined with the
constant bugging of the redhat network monitor, may convince me finally
to switch to Mandrake or Suse. Any suggestions?
