Obtain alsa-driver-0.9.0rc3-fr11.src.rpm from ftp.freshrpms.net (in /pub/freshrpms/psyche/alsa-driver) 2. Install it (rpm -iUvh alsa-driver-0.9.0rc3-fr11.src.rpm) 3. Build it (cd /usr/src/redhat/SPECS ; rpmbuild -ba alsa-driver.spec) [it gets installed by the build process anyway, but to keep your rpm database happy...] 4. Install it (cd /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/<YOUR CPU>/ ; rpm -iUvh alsa-kernel-0.9.0rc3-fr11_2.4.18_17.8.0.<YOUR CPU>.rpm 5. You're done... On a fast machine, this won't take all that long; on a slow machine, go get dinner while it runs. On a really slow machine, a trip to Hawaii might be nice... :-) Good luck, -- William W.
