I find that when booting on the old kernel the sound system still works.
My sound card is identified as:

ESS Technology ES1983S Maestro-3i PCI Audio Accelerator (rev 10)

The modules in question are:

maestro3               30832   0 (autoclean)
ac97_codec             13384   0 (autoclean) [maestro3]
soundcore               6532   2 (autoclean) [maestro3]

I guess that the solution will come soon next week from the redhat
people.

No sound until then ;(
