[Sound] 0.9.0rc3 and Red Hat 8.0 -- REPOST with correction

I was using 0.9.0rc3 on Red Hat 7.3 with no problem, but the drivers 
won't compile on Red Hat 8.0.  I CAN include as much stdout/stderr from 
8.0 as anyone would like to see.  Has anyone else had this problem?
