What is the difference between a gpio_pin=1 and gpio_pin=8?
I wonder if there would be a performance difference between one over the other?
Thanks again!!!!! :-)

Just don't know myself? As I mentioned, if you're running the 7.x or 8.x errata kernel, the maestro3 driver is *broken*. You'd need an earlier kernel, or you'd have to pass 'gpio_pin=1' or 'gpio_pin=8' for it to work.
