Win98 cannot read any file system types but vfat/fat/dos, so, did you install Shrike on vfat/fat/dos partitions only? Win98 mounts hard drive, CD, and other partitions as drive letters C: D: E: etc; what partition is your linux file system on, from the perspective of your Win98 system? "dual boot" implies only one OS runs at a time (Win98 or Shrike) so samba has no involvement (samba shares files between two computers, not between two dual-boot identities of the same computer) Brian Brunner brian.t.brunner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (610)796-5838 >>> nnaemekadavid2004@xxxxxxxxxxx 07/03/04 07:32AM >>> I am new to linux and dual boot my hard disk between linux and windows 98. i want to make my windows side of the hard disk have access to files on the linux side and have configured samba server on my shrike space, what do i do to the windows space to make my windows client to the linux files and programs. thanks _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your messages with MSN 8.
