There is the Ultimate Boot CD, which has some good diags:

I would first run memtest86 for at least 2 passes, just to verify that the memory is ok. Then determine what brand and model of HD you have and run the manufacturer's disk diags on that.

If you don't find any problems, and want to purchase a commercial diagnostic program that will test most everything else, try checkit:
