urgent

hello friends,
I have problem about apache..
I have installed suexec program on my server.
when I checked suexec logs it shows..
"command not in docroot"
This is about the index.cgi file which is installed on the server.Now i Have
installed index.pl instead of .cgi file in the docroot.But I need to work
with the .cgi file .I have checked the permissions of cgi file..
those are correct.
Please give me ans it's urgent
