I can't figure out why my standard IP address, ethernet interface, is working but localhost isn't. Pings to 127.0.0.1 aren't getting through. Any ideas? It's an RH9 installation, on a Fujitsu rackmount (intel-based) box. There's an entry in /etc/hosts: 127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain What else goes into making localhost work?
