Orright, chill out! I was answering someone else's comment, no need to
get antsy...

OK, here are modes that I'm reasonably confident work:

res: 640x480 800x600 1024x768 1280x1024

8bit 769 771 773 775
15bit 784 787 790 793
16bit 785 788 791 794
24bit 786 789 792 795

I've only tried 773 (1024x768) on my Matrox G550, and it works nicely.

I know the table doesn't include the resolution you want, but based on
that table, I'd try these ones:

  777
  776
  796
  797
  798

I'd guess that the first one is most likely to work, and going down the
list to the least likely.

Before you try them, bear in mind that you *might* blow up your video card
or monitor. If you do, don't blame me. :-) However, if you do try them
and they work, I'd like to hear about it.

Remember that if you can't boot your machine and you're using grub, you
can edit the parameters to the linux command, so you always have a
backdoor if you're using grub (and it hasn't been secured too harshly).

Good luck! :)

Regards, Msquared...
