I had the same problem.  The fix is to do a Server installation instead of workstation or desktop.  Also filter off all non-essential packages.

Once the basic server package is installed, manually rpm other pieces.

Yes, I haved the same problem... i recommend  tha use (linux
mediasheck)..
maybe your iso files are corrupt.

i've been tryin to install RHL 9.0 as a guest OS on VMWare(running on
Win XP
Home Edition)....
but the installation always aborts at the 2 or 3rd  installation
disk(linux
9).....i've been tryin for over a  week ...
i also tried it on a different PC with another CD's .....but still it
doesnt
work ....previously i never had problems installin linux on VMWare
....can
anybody suggest what might be casuing problems???
