i had posted a problem earlier that i cannot install redhat 9.
the installation of redhat 9 is actually a bug ......
and i found the solution on vmware's knowledge base on page 6...Q - installin redhat 9 as a guest .....
so take care ,u would see that the installation always gets stuck @ xpdf .... or some other files like xscreensaver etc ....
