then I would recommend creating a 100mb /boot, a 3gb NTFS c:\ for the winxp installation, then have say D:\ FAT for the winxp data so you can mount in linux.
Just one thing: assuming a normal install of Windows plus Office and a couple of other things, I doubt 3GB is enough for XP. My 2K system partitions are usually about 10GB and contain about 8GB of content. Remember that, for example, on a box with 512 MB of RAM you're going to need 512 MB for hibernation file and probably another 512 MB for swap. So that's at least 1GB gone.
