Something else to worry about is gcc v2 vs v3 compilation for plugins.
Since you mentioned mozilla 1.2.1 I think that is gcc v2 compiled
whereas the netscape 7.1 is gcc v3 compiled. You'll need to put the
gcc v2 compiled plugin with the gcc v2 compiled browser and the gcc v3
compiled plugins with the gcc v3 compiled browser. You can't mix.

Check out www.blackdown.org for more "up to date" copies of the java
sdk and they supply both gcc v2 and gcc v3 versions. You'll probably
need to get both.

mozilla 1.4.1 was released recently and it appears to be gcc v3 compiled.
This lets you use the same gcc v3 plugin for both mozilla 1.4.1 and netscape
7.1.

If you want to use mozilla 1.2.1 and netscape 7.1 you'll have to figure
out a way to keep the plugins straight.

Good Luck!
