Upon hardware failure!! :-)

Seriously though this is not windoze. It does not require regular reboots.
The only reason to reboot it is if you need to upgrade the kernel, upgrade
hardware or if it has been up lonng enough that it starts acting weird.
I have had machines run well past the 1 year mark. Others have had them run
much longer. It depends on what you are doing and if they find potential
remote exploits in the kernel on a machine exposed to the internet.

FWIW the machines that have run for over a year needed to be rebooted to
upgrade the kernel. They never showed any signs of failing. I just got nervous
about running an old kernel. So I guess you could say I was the point of failure
that caused the reboot. :-)
