I'm going to ask a stupid question. Is this 3COM on the docking station or a PCMCIA? If on the dock, is the a/c adapter powering the docking station or are you on battery. I get this error if I don't have AC power to my dock because the battery doesn't seem to power it. <<JAV>> ---------- Original Message ----------- From: Chas Simpson <csimpson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sun, 28 Sep 2003 10:54:44 +0200 (SAST) Subject: eth0 device not present > Hi, > > I've just installed rh9 onto my laptop (armada m700) and I get the > following error during the boot sequence: > > Bringing up eth0: 3c59x device eth0 does not seem to be present. > Delaying intialization > > It detected the ethernet card correctly (3Com 10/100 model > 3CCFE575CT) during installation.
