On Sunday 14 September 2003 10:11, Chris Kloiber uttered: > SATA will not work with RHL 9. Might work with the beta (but I have not > tried it, and doubt it's ready.). Keep a regular IDE drive in the system > for now, and make friends with someone who has a fat pipe and a burner. *sigh* can you people PLEASE qualify your answers? SATA works perfectly fine in RHL9 if you use the correct controller. 3ware controllers have been working w/ SATA since day one. THere are other controllers out there as well. SATA is an interconnect, not a device needing a driver. Thats like saying "SCSI doesn't work in RHL9" or "IDE doesn't work in RHL9". -- Jesse Keating RHCE MCSE http://geek.j2solutions.net Mondo DevTeam (www.mondorescue.org) Was I helpful?
