Thanks for your advice. I will wait with the SATA until I am sure it will work in both Windows and Linux. Any idea if it will be included in RH10? Believe it or not, I don't have UPS. We don't generally experience outages here in Denmark. The lightning was a freak thing. Even so, I'm working on upgrading the electrical system in my apartment, so that doesn't happen again. Until then, my computer gets turned off when there is thunder and lightning ;) Marie-Therese -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: shrike-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:shrike-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx]Pa vegne af Chris Kloiber Sendt: 14. september 2003 19:11 Til: shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx Emne: Re: SV: date for release of redhat 10? Might work with the beta (but I have not tried it, and doubt it's ready.). Keep a regular IDE drive in the system for now, and make friends with someone who has a fat pipe and a burner. Oh, and invest in a good UPS if you haven't already. I have 4 all over tha house. Nothing gets plugged directly into the wall except kitchen appliances and lamps. -- Chris Kloiber -- Shrike-list mailing list Shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/shrike-list -- Shrike-list mailing list Shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/shrike-list
