I have a Dell GX270 with an unsupported intel 865G video card. using kernel e25 and XFree86 ver 4.1.0-46
I am using VESA and had to disable nearly all of the Modules to get kde to start up correctly.
ie: remmed out dbe, GLcore, dri, etc....
The problem I'm having is that kde is crashing every 20 minutes are so. So in runlevel 5, the authentication screen is presented when it crashes.
I shut down the screen saver and disabled APM. This happens in Gnome and KDE.
suggestions? Options?
Can I somehow use XFree86 4.3?
