Hello, I've the same problem with Shrike while mounting smb shares from the fstab. I worked around this while mounting the smb shares from the rc.local file in the background with & at the end of the smbmount command. That works fine for me. rc.local: smbmount //smb-server/share /mnt/smb -o username=user, password=xxx & greetings, Frank Jahn (Netzwerkadministrator, RHCE, LPIC-1) Metzloser Stra?e 36 36352 Grebenhain Tel.: 0049 (0) 6644 87242 Fax : 0049 (0) 6644 7412 E-Mail: mailto:frank.jahn@xxxxxxxxx Homepage: http://www.robbe.com -----Ursprungliche Nachricht----- Von: shrike-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:shrike-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx]Im Auftrag von Robert Boone Gesendet: Dienstag, 5. The problem is sometimes, not all the time, when I try to mount a smbfs shares under linux It hangs but it does mount the share. The problem really shows itself when you try bootup with the smb share in the fstab. It locks up and you never get a login. Has this ever happened to anyone else?
