yes, in fact autentication via pam_ldap works

I've just read sth about different behavior of gethostbyname and
getaddrinfo when dealing with ldap
(http://www.firenze.linux.it/~piccardi/ldap/node15.html, italian).

I also strace'ed a "telnet somehost" where somehost is resolvable with
ldap but not with dns, and I see that libnss_ldap.so.2 is opened at some
point, but nothing is being done with it.

Can anybody explain this?
