is there anybody using nss_ldap for host name lookup? I tried
hosts: files dns ldap
in my nsswitch.conf with no results, ie I don't even see any outgoing query to the ldap server
Do you also have /etc/ldap.conf set up to specify the "host" and "base" of your directory?
