Subject: Lockups

I have been periodically experiencing lockups of my Linux bow. It seems
it happens most frequently when I visit particular websites. The other
day I was trying to download something from directfb and it locked up 2
or 3 times on subsequent reboots after locking up.

How can I prevent this from occurring. It seems some program goes into
some kind of loop and basically prevents you from using the computer.
Both keyboard and mouse become passengers on the system. The mouse will
move but that's just about it. I get this will Mozilla Firebird and with
Galeon. Opera doesn't do this on the same sites so I suppose it could be
a Gecko problem.

Any solutions (besides staying off Firebird)
