Disk Setup during RH9 Installation on Laptop

I'm installing RedHat 9 on my Toshiba laptop.
I have Windoze XP Home Edition preinstalled on the first partition and I'm installing Linux on the second.
I notice in the partition list during partitioning that there are 3 <1 MB free space partitions created, and I'm sure I didn't create them.
Is this a problem because of the Windoze partitioner or just something to do with my Laptop harddisk.

Ossama Khayat
