a process called fam is making my device busy...any suggestion??

By now you've probably done man fam to find out about it. Most likely you could kill it and never miss it.

But fam is running on my machine and I don't have this
problem.
Do you see the floppy listed when you do /bin/mount?

Yes, after mounting the floppy I see it

Any chance there's another console or window somewhere
looking at that drive?

Maybe you could post the output of /sbin/fuser -mv /dev/fd0

Here is the output of fuser command....

/sbin/fuser -mv /dev/fd0
USER PID ACCESS COMMAND
/dev/fd0 root 3327 f.... fam

The problem starts when I delete a file from fd (That is vfat): I do not have any problem to mount a fd, to copy some file on it, to unmount it....but when I try to delete any file, I get it.

Any suggestion???

Tnx

Antonio
